11. vuorokausi ja vauhti kiihtyy:) Tänään Kuura ja Unna olivat tulleet omin avuin ulos laatikosta...tästä se säpinä siis alkaa. Kun Ruska menee laatikkoon, se ei ehdi makuulle,kun jengi on jo kimpussa. Niinpä Ruska on keksinyt ensin istahtaa hetkeksi, ja koota laumansa. Kun kaikki ovat ympärillä, niin Ruska nousee ja siirtyy toiseen nurkkaan makuulle, fiksu koira! Nisillä alkaa olla jo tungosta, mutta kummasti jokainen lyötää paikkansa ja alun sähläämisen jälkeen ollaan nätissä rivissä.Naavalla on tapana lopettaa ruokailu ensimmäisenä, ja mennä Ruskan etujalkojen väliin äidin hoidettavaksi. Ja kun ruokailu on ohi, Ruskan noustessa ylös, siellä nisällä yleensä roikkuu vielä Nuoska, joka ei vähällä hellitä;) Syönnin jälkeen on pieni hetki, kun pennut telmivät. Suuta osataan jo käyttää muuhunkin kuin syömiseen, sillä hamutaan toisten tassuja ja muutenkin touhussa on pientä leikin alkua. Mutta vielä ei kauan jakseta, vaan uni voittaa. Silmät ovat jo hiukan raollaan, eiköhän ne ylihuomiseen mennessä ole auenneet. Pissaa tulee jo senverran paljon, että laitoin vähän sanomalehteä laatikkoon. Muutaman päivän päästä avataan laatikon etureuna, ja pissapaperit siirtyvät huoneessa omaan nurkkaan, laatikon jäädessä nukkumapaikaksi.

Ruskalla on kaikki hyvin, maidonkin kanssa päästiin tasapainoon. Karva lähtee pikkuhiljaa ja kilot ovat karisseet vyötäröltä. Ja pikkuhiljaa näyttää virtaa riittävän muuhunkin kuin pentujen hoitoon. Ruska on aloitellut omia leikkejään, pihalla olen haetuttanut piilotettuja esineitä ja sisällä voidaan tehdä pieniä tokoliikkeitäkin. Muutaman minuutin kiva, ja taas jaksaa olla kuten muutkin normaalit äitikoirat....

Day 11 and the pups are speeding up :) Today Kuura and Unna had crawled from the crate by themselves... so here we go. When Ruska goes into the crate the pack is all over her before she has time to lie down. She has figured out that if she sits down the pups gather around her. Then she gets up and moves over and lies down into another corner; what a clever dog she is! Even if the bar is crowded the pups seem to find their places easily and after a while they are eating neatly side by side. Naava tends to finish first and then he goes and gets licked by Ruska. And when the feeding time is over and Ruska gets up, usually Nuoska is still hanging on to a tit; he surely doesn't give up easily ;) Afterwards, the pups usually play for a while. They can use their mouths for other things than eating; like scrabbling paws of the other pups'. Soon, they fall asleep again. Their eyes are already started to open; I bet they are fully opened by the day after tomorrow. Because they keep peeing quite a lot already, I put newspaper in the crate. In a few days, I'll open the front of the crate and move the newspapers in the corner of the puppy room. The crate will be then just a place to sleep in.

Ruska is doing fine and the lactation is in the balance now. She has started to shed both her coat and baby weight. And she seems to gain energy for other things than nursing. She's now playing inside and I have hidden some toys in the garden for her to search. We have even trained little bit of obedience inside. A few minutes of fun and then she can behave like any other mom...

Pennuissa suloisinta on niiden nenän seutu ja pienet tassut, ja en voi olla kuvaamatta näitä ihanuuksia... / Muzzles and tiny paws are so cute that I just cannot stop taking photos of those...
