Suunniteltiin pentulan laajennusta ensi viikolle, mutta kun inspiraatio tulee, se on tehtävä heti. Nyt on tilaa heilua, ja kevythäkki tuli uudeksi jutuksi. Sinne olikin mukava mennä nukkumaan:) Ja laajennuksen myötä alettiin pitää elämää! Ruskakin kokeili pentujen kestävyyttä, ja vähän "pyöritteli" Unnaa, kun leikkivät uudella Ikea ravulla. Tänään kävi kätilö-kääntö-päivitys-apumme Jaana tuoksuttelemassa pentuja:)

Ruska syöttää pennut nyt noin kolmen tunnin välein. Illalla valvon puolille öin, kolmelta herään (siihen huutoon ei voi olla heräämättä, jos ei nuku tosi sikeästi) ja aamu kuudelta taas. Ja päivällä rumba jatkuu... Muutamana yönä viikossa sitä on kai niin väsynyt, että tuo yö kolmen herätys jää väliin;) Pennut ovat jo sen kokoisia,että on ihan hyvä vähän auttaa syönnin aloituksessa, jotta jokainen saa paikkansa. Jos isoimmat ehtivät valtaamaan päällimmäiset nisät, ei sinne väliin mahdu kukaan. Mutta kummasti kuuden rivi aina asettuu lopulta hiljaa syömään.

We had planned to expand the puppy fencing next week but there's no better time than when the inspiration hits. Now the pups have plenty of room to play and we even put a light crate for them to explore. And what a nice place that is for sleeping :) The play times got wilder too! Ruska seemed to test the durability of pups by "rolling" Unna when they played with their new Ikea crab. Today, Jaana the midwife-translator-help came to pamper the pups :)

Ruska feeds the pups now every three hours. I keep awake until th midnight, wake up at three (that noise wakes up everyone who doesn't sleep like a log) and again at six in the morning. And same thing during the day... I have been so tired that a few nights a week I miss the three am. wake-up-call ;) The pups are already quite big so I try to help the smaller ones to find their place in the feeding row. If the biggest pups get the top tits no one can get in between. In the end, the row of six always settles down to eat quietly. 

This morning, I took a few photos of playing and weighing. All the pups were sleeping in the "coffeebread basket"... In the bottom photo, our sweet Nuoska the Snufkin with a drop of milk on his nose...
